Creating a technical assessment on TalentScreen takes just minutes. This guide walks you through every step from choosing questions to sending invitations.
You'll need a clear job description or skill requirements. Having sample questions ready helps, but you can also browse our extensive question library organized by technology and difficulty level.
Navigate to Exams Dashboard
From your dashboard, click 'Create New Exam' in the top right. Choose between starting from scratch or using a template.
Configure Basic Settings
Name your exam (e.g., 'Senior Frontend Engineer - React'), set duration (typically 45-90 minutes), and choose difficulty level.
Add Questions
Browse our library or create custom questions. Mix coding challenges, multiple choice, and case studies. Aim for 5-8 questions total.
Set Proctoring Options
Enable webcam monitoring, tab switching detection, or code plagiarism checks based on your security needs.
Review and Publish
Preview the candidate experience, test all questions, then publish. You'll get a unique exam link to share with candidates.

Once published, you can send bulk invitations, embed the exam on your careers page, or integrate with your ATS. Track completions in real-time from your dashboard.
