Big Five Personality Assessment
Understanding the Big Five (OCEAN) model
The Big Five measures five broad personality dimensions: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. It's the most scientifically validated personality model.
The Five Dimensions
- Openness - Imagination, curiosity, openness to new experiences
- Conscientiousness - Organization, dependability, discipline
- Extraversion - Sociability, assertiveness, energy in social settings
- Agreeableness - Cooperation, empathy, trust in others
- Neuroticism - Emotional stability, stress resilience, anxiety
Role Fit Interpretation
High Openness suits creative, innovative roles. High Conscientiousness predicts success in detail-oriented, structured work. High Extraversion fits sales, management, and collaborative roles. High Agreeableness excels in customer service and team settings. Low Neuroticism (high emotional stability) handles high-stress environments.
Scoring
Each dimension is scored 0-100 as a percentile compared to the general population. A score of 70 in Openness means the candidate is more open than 70% of people. There are no good or bad scores, only fit for specific roles.
Use Big Five benchmarks to identify ideal personality profiles for each role. Compare candidates against your top performers.
