Understanding Invitation Statuses
Track whether candidates have received, opened, and acted on invitations.
Each candidate invitation has a status showing where they are in the process. Monitor these from the exam's candidate list to follow progress and identify issues.
Status Definitions
Invited: Email sent successfully. Opened: Candidate opened the email. Started: Candidate clicked the link and began the exam. Completed: Exam submitted. Expired: Deadline passed without completion.
Failed: Email delivery failed, usually due to invalid address. Resent: Invitation sent again after initial delivery. Overridden: Deadline extended or settings modified for this candidate.
Taking Action
For failed invitations, verify the email address and resend. For expired exams, decide whether to extend deadlines or mark as incomplete. For candidates who started but didn't finish, reach out to understand blockers.
Email open tracking requires images to be enabled in the recipient's email client. Not all opens may be tracked.
Export status reports to track overall response rates and identify patterns. This helps optimize your invitation timing and messaging for future exams.
