Get instant alerts in Slack when candidates complete assessments
The TalentScreen Slack app posts candidate activity to channels of your choice. Get notified when exams are completed, applications arrive, or top scorers emerge, without leaving your team's communication hub.
By default, you'll see exam completions with scores, new applications with links to profiles, and pipeline stage changes. Configure granular filters to reduce noise and highlight only high-priority events.
Install the Slack App
Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack. Click 'Add to Slack'. Authorize TalentScreen to post in your workspace. Choose a default channel.
Map Jobs to Channels
Assign specific job postings to dedicated channels (e.g., all 'Senior Engineer' activity goes to #hiring-engineering). Keeps notifications organized.
Set Notification Filters
Choose event types per channel. Example: #hiring-urgent only gets candidates scoring 85%+. #hiring-all gets everything. Reduces notification fatigue.
Customize Message Format
Toggle rich previews (includes exam snippets), score thresholds for alerts, and @mention rules (e.g., tag @hiring-manager for top 10% scorers).
Test and Refine
Send a test notification to verify setup. Adjust filters based on team feedback. Too many alerts? Raise score thresholds or limit event types.
Create a dedicated #talentscreen-feed channel for all events, then filter high-priority candidates to role-specific channels. This archives everything without overwhelming active channels.
Use interactive buttons on Slack messages to view full reports, move candidates to the next stage, or schedule interviews, all without opening TalentScreen. Actions sync instantly to your dashboard.
