Collaborate on candidate evaluations with team comments
TalentScreen lets you and your team add notes directly to candidate reports. Leave feedback on specific exam answers, flag concerns, or document interview impressions. All notes are threaded and timestamped for clear collaboration.
General notes apply to the whole candidate profile. Question notes attach to specific exam answers. Interview notes live in the interview section. All are searchable and can be private or shared with the team.
Open a Candidate Report
Navigate to any candidate's profile. Click 'Add Note' in the top right, or hover over specific questions to leave inline comments.
Write Your Note
Be specific and constructive. Example: 'Strong algorithmic thinking but code lacks comments' or 'Communication style feels too formal for our culture.'
Tag Team Members
Use @mentions to notify specific colleagues. Example: '@sarah can you review this candidate's design portfolio?' Tagged members get email alerts.
Set Note Visibility
Choose 'Team' (visible to all members with access), 'Hiring Managers Only', or 'Private' (only you can see it). Useful for sensitive feedback.
Track Note Threads
Reply to existing notes to create threaded discussions. This keeps feedback organized and shows decision-making history.
Use templates for common feedback scenarios: 'Strong technical skills, weak communication' or 'Great culture fit, lacking experience.' Saves time and ensures consistency.
Document reasons for hiring decisions in notes. If a candidate is rejected, having clear, objective notes protects against discrimination claims. Never include protected-class mentions (age, race, etc.) in notes.
