AI Interview Anti-Cheat
How we detect AI-assisted or plagiarized responses
TalentScreen detects when candidates use AI tools (like ChatGPT) to generate responses or copy answers from external sources. Multiple detection methods flag suspicious behavior.
Detection Methods
- Typing speed analysis - Paste events vs. natural typing
- Response timing - Suspiciously fast or uniform timing
- Language complexity - Sudden shifts in vocabulary or style
- AI fingerprints - Patterns common in LLM-generated text
- Plagiarism detection - Matching against public content
- Tab switching - Candidate leaving browser window
Flag Severity Levels
Low flags (1-2 indicators) appear as warnings. Medium flags (3-4 indicators) highlight the response. High flags (5+ indicators) mark the entire interview as suspicious and include detailed evidence.
Handling Flagged Interviews
Review the transcript and evidence before disqualifying. Some candidates naturally type fast or use advanced vocabulary. Consider the overall pattern, not just individual flags. For high-risk roles, require a follow-up live interview.
False positives happen. Always review evidence manually before making hiring decisions based on anti-cheat flags.
